Azzedine Lagab (born September 18, 1986 ) is an Algerian cyclist . He has been one of the dominant road racers in his country since the 2000s .

Athletic career

In 2008 Azzedine Lagab was the first national champion in the individual time trial . Up to and including 2018, he won the title of Algerian champion ten times, in time trials and road races. In addition, he was successful in cycling competitions in Africa : He won medals several times at African cycling championships, but also at the Pan-Arab Games.

In 2011 Lagab won the Tour d'Algérie and two stages of the Tour du Faso , and in 2013 two stages of the Tour of Rwanda . In 2014 he won the Tour of Al Zubarah and in 2015 the Tour Internationale d'Oranie . In 2016 and 2017 he won silver in the team time trial at African championships . He won bronze in team time trial and road racing at the 2018 African road cycling championships . In 2018 he again won the domestic tour of Algeria and two stages of the Tour of Rwanda .
