Badland Bavarian Rhön

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The " Bavarian Rhön spa region " is a tourist consortium of the five Lower Franconian health resorts Bad Kissingen , Brückenau , Bad Bocklet , Bad Neustadt (Saale) and Bad Königshofen (grave field) and the two counties Bad Kissingen and Rhön-grave field .

history

The working group was founded in March 2004. The reason for this was the need to realign the health resorts and the development of new marketing strategies to attract new guest target groups after the negative effects of several health reforms that have taken place since 1996 .

The five spa directors therefore initially founded a pure marketing association in January 2002 in order to use possible synergies in the offer and targeted marketing, to coordinate activities and to be able to present the Lower Franconian spa region holistically. In 2004, however, it became necessary to legally form the working group, since otherwise public funding from the Bavarian state government or the Lower Franconian district government could not have been allocated.

Since then, political bodies and the municipal administrations of the health resorts have also been involved. The mayors alternate in chairmanship, the management is in the hands of the spa directors.

tasks

Objective is u. a. the development of new health and wellness offers, joint participation in trade fairs, a coordinated representation of interests in associations and politics as well as the joint marketing of the respective local event program in the sense of the slogan "A guest in one bathroom - a warm welcome in five pools" to strengthen the Health region. For example, on March 30, 2004, with financial support from the Bavarian Health Minister, the VitalSpring prevention project was developed, an "innovative project that pools resources and strengthens personal responsibility for one's own health".
