Bärbel Oftring

Bärbel Oftring (* 1962 ) is a German biologist , author and editor .

Life

Bärbel Oftring was interested in nature around her hometown as a child. She studied biology in Mainz and Tübingen with a focus on zoology , botany and paleontology . The biologist then worked for several years as an author and editor for Kosmos-Verlag, in which, in 1993, her first children's book, Look! The zoo appeared. One focus of her more than 140 publications to date are children's and non-fiction books in the field of flora and fauna.
