Béla Kehrling 1914

Béla von Kehrling (born January 25, 1891 in Szepesszombat, today Spišská Sobota , † April 26, 1937 ; also Béla Kehrling ) was a Hungarian tennis and table tennis player .

Like Fred Perry later, he played both tennis and table tennis at a high level. In 1926 he became world champion with the Hungarian table tennis team at the championships in London, with Zoltán Mechlovits he reached the final in doubles. He also won the German tennis championships in 1924 . From 1924 to 1933 he played 16 games for the Hungarian Davis Cup team . He won 22 of his 31 singles games and three of a total of 15 doubles games.

On June 15, 1965, the Hungarian Post issued a stamp in honor of Béla von Kehrling, perforated and cut ( Michel catalog no. 2135 A and 2135 B).
