Belier
The Belier was a French sounding rocket and was the starting point for a whole series of solid rocket rockets , which consisted of the Belier, the Centaure , the Dragon , the Dauphin and the Eridan .
The Belier was launched in three versions between 1961 and 1970 from Hammaguir , Salto di Quirra , Ile du Levant and Kourou . It was also used as the upper stage of other French sounding rockets.
The Belier was single-stage. The Jericho engine had a starting thrust of 20 kN and burned 230 kg of fuel in 23 seconds. After 175 seconds a climb of 135 km was reached.
