The Book of Kings or Kings book - because of the usual dichotomy also the books of Kings , Kings books or books of Kings - is a book of the Tanakh and the Old Testament , the history of the people of Israel from the last years of King David until the fall of the southern kingdom of Judah tells. Since Martin Noth , it has mostly been viewed as the final part of the Deuteronomistic History . Since the Septuagintit is divided into two books and quoted after; the treatment is therefore carried out separately under 1. Book of Kings and 2. Book of Kings .
