architecture

The unequal two-aisled church building in the core probably from the 13th century with a tent roof with a narrower south nave has a tower with a baroque dome in the southeast corner of the choir.

The nave with buttresses has pointed, round arched and round windows on the south-east side has a walled portal with bar supports to the side aisle, the north-west main portal has a late Gothic pointed arch. The strongly drawn-in choir with a five-eighth closure has stepped buttresses and high, wide lancet windows with removed tracery; at the place of the walled-in central window there is a mural St. Katharian with angels. The mighty five-storey tower from 1777 stands as an extension of the side aisle and shows painted paired giant corner pilasters above a grooved base storey with a baroque bell, it has a double-constricted onion dome over clock gables.

The interior of the church shows a two-aisled nave with pointed arched pillar arcades open to the aisles, the four-bay main nave from the mid-15th century has a close-meshed ribbed vault on consoles. The wide Emporenjoch is bricked up in the main nave and in the space created there is a passage to the former citizens' hospital. There a late Gothic portal to the gallery staircase with a Gothic staircase with the stone railing to the former hospital ward at the height of the gallery. The five-bay aisle around 1470 with a sloping east bay has a ribbed vault with a vortex configuration on tapering approaches.

The pointed arched, profiled triumphal arch is drawn in. The two-bay choir with a five-eighth end has a ribbed vault on hanging services, to the south of the choir is a rectangular portal and a Gothic peephole to the sacristy.

Wall painting from the beginning of the 16th century was uncovered in 1974.
