B * Witched is a girl group that achieved several commercial successes, mostly in the UK , in the late 1990s . The band consists of four members and comes from Ireland .
History and career
The group stood out from other then successful artists of the genre, such as the Spice Girls, among other things by combining Irish folk music with pop music . The four singles from the debut album - C'est la vie , Rollercoaster , To You I Belong and Blame It On The Weatherman - each reached number 1 in the UK charts. The singles of the second album, which was released in 1999, turned out to be less successful.
After Sinéad O'Carroll left the band, the remaining members announced the breakup in September 2002.
At the beginning of 2013, the documentary The Big Reunion, broadcast by the British television station ITV2, brought about a reunification. Using crowdfunding on the PledgeMusic platform , the band financed a new EP from 2013 , which was released at the end of April 2014. It is called Champagne or Guinness and contains a total of six tracks.
