The Munich company run (the B2Run Munich ) is a company run of the B2Run series . It was organized for the first time in 2004 by Süddeutscher Verlag as a maxi company run in Munich. The route is approx. 6.5 km through the Munich Olympic Park . Since 2009, the B2Run runs have also taken place across Germany in other major cities.

Number of participants

The number of participants has risen continuously, from around 2,500 runners in 2004 to around 30,000 in 2012.

With 30,000 runners - the number of participants was limited by the Munich Olympic Park for safety reasons - from over 1,000 companies, the B2Run Munich is the largest company run in Germany with individual timekeeping.

Routing

The B2Run Munich starts on Coubertinplatz and ends with the finish line through the marathon gate in the Munich Olympic Stadium . The route has been changed again and again since 2004, so that the times achieved cannot be compared from year to year. The reason was probably the bottlenecks and the associated traffic jams, which made it very difficult to run smoothly due to the number of participants. The route chosen in 2011 now seems to have been optimized in this regard, as the route begins narrow and then tends to become wider. It was also used in 2012, but the start was set back by approx. 100 m with a total length of 6,200 m.
