BBC Radio nan Gàidheal

BBC Radio nan Gàidheal is a Scottish Gaelic program produced by BBC Scotland . The broadcast studios are located in Stornoway in the Outer Hebrides . It is the only radio program in Scottish Gaelic and, along with its Irish sister program RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta, the only radio program in a Gaelic language at all.

It is broadcast around 12 hours a day (with gaps in the afternoon and at night), outside of broadcast times, the English-language BBC Radio Scotland is taken over. The program consists of news, political debates, but also music programs, some of which are broadcast from the studios of BBC Scotland in Inverness and Glasgow . In addition, the sports coverage of the Scottish leagues has a fixed broadcasting slot. There are also children's programs and language courses for foreign speakers.

The program can be received nationwide on VHF in Scotland.
