The BC Aichach is a sports club from the Swabian district town of Aichach . It was founded as a football club and today has other departments for chess and stick shooting.
history
The association emerged from the Catholic Apprenticeship Association . The founding meeting took place on October 17, 1917 at the Froschermayr inn. The parade ground on Schrobenhausener Strasse served as the first sports field. Game operations began in 1919. During the Nazi era , the club was merged with the local gymnastics club to form TSV Aichach. In September 1945 the association was re-established under its old name.
From the lowest division he rose to the Swabian amateur league. In 1963 he was a founding member of the Landesliga Bayern Süd . In the following years the club commuted between the regional league and the district league. After the state league descent in 1981, the club fell into the A class the following year. After two championships in a row, he was back in the national league from 1985.
The relegation from the Landesliga 2000 was followed by an eleven-year phase at the Swabian district and district level. The BC Aichach only returned to the regional league in 2011 and took part in the relegation to the Bavarian regional league in the 2011/12 season. The BCA prevailed against TSV Großbardorf in the first round , but failed in the second round due to the Würzburger Kickers . Thus, the club played in the 2012/13 season in the fifth-rate Bayernliga Süd, where it achieved a relegation place for the Regionalliga Bayern, but then failed in the two playoffs at FC Augsburg II .
In the 2013/14 season, BC Aichach won the championship title in the Bayernliga Süd, but could not apply for a license for the regional league due to the departure of the main sponsor. The first team was then withdrawn from the game, so BC Aichach 2014/15 only started with the previous second team in the district league.
