history

In 1938 there were plans for the first time to convert the secondary school for girls, which was located in the grammar school on Peraustraße ( Peraugymnasium ), into an independent school. In 1946 these plans were put into practice and the Bundesrealgymnasium for girls was created. Due to the school reform in 1962, the school became a federal high school for girls in 1964 . In 1974 it became a coeducational high school. Three years later, the federal high school for working people opened in Villach under the direction of Dr. Wedam instead.
