The BKK Medicus (officially BKK MEDICUS ) was a German statutory health insurance from the group of company health insurance funds , the only independent company health insurance company in Saxony.

It was open to the following federal states: Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Berlin, Hamburg, Hesse, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, North Rhine, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Westphalia-Lippe.

The fund was founded on April 1, 1992 as the company health fund of the Dresden Medicines Works (BKK AWD) and opened in 1998 under the name BKK Medicus . Their seat was on the property of the listed Hofmann-Villa at Ledenweg  2 in Radebeul-Kötzschenbroda .

On January 1, 2015, the BKK Medicus merged with the BKK Verkehrsbau Union ; the ServiceCenter Radebeul of the Berlin-based company health insurance company BKK VBU will remain on site for its Saxon insurance fund members. There is also the ServiceCenter Leipzig in Saxony and the Competence Center Occupational Accidents and Diseases in Dresden.
