BMW plant in Hams Hall

The BMW plant in Hams Hall in Hams Hall Industrial Park, North Warwickshire ( England ) is one of the BMW plants outside Germany.

Around 570 million euros were invested in the plant near Birmingham . Since January 2001, BMW Otto three and four-cylinder engines with a displacement between 1.4 and 2.0 liters have been manufactured there. They are used in the BMW 1 Series , BMW 2 Series and BMW 3 Series models as well as in the X series and BMW Mini . The combustion engines for hybrid vehicles (e.g. BMW i8) are also installed. Furthermore, battery packs are manufactured for BMW and other automobile manufacturers.

With up to 1000 employees, around 400,000 engines were manufactured annually in Hams Hall between 2007 and 2013.
