North Warwickshire is an administrative district with borough status in the county of Warwickshire in England . The administrative seat is the city of Atherstone . Other significant places are Coleshill , Curdworth , Kingsbury , Polesworth and Water Orton .
The district was formed on April 1, 1974 and resulted from the merger of the Rural District Atherstone and part of the Rural District Meriden.
