Rugby is an administrative district with borough status in the county of Warwickshire in England . The administrative seat is the city of Rugby , in which about two thirds of the population live. Other significant locations are Binley Woods , Brinklow , Clifton-upon-Dunsmore , Dunchurch , Long Lawford , Ryton-on-Dunsmore , Stretton-on-Dunsmore , Wolston and Wolvey .
The district was formed on April 1, 1974 and was the result of the merger of Municipal Borough Rugby and Rural District Rugby.
