The BSC Munich (officially: Münchener Ballspielclub von 1920 eV ) was a sports club from Munich . The first soccer team took part in the German championship of the Workers' Gymnastics and Sports Association (ATSB) five times . It is not to be confused with the BSC Munich winter sports club .

history

The association was founded in 1920. The venue was the Theresienwiese below the Bavaria . The Munich team qualified five times as Bavarian champions for the finals of the German ATSB championship. The first participation was in 1922 , when the BSC failed 3-1 at ATSV Rheinau after a 3-1 victory over TB Vaihingen in the southern German final . A year later , the Munich team successfully took revenge in the southern German final with a 3-2 win. Rheinau protested against the game score because of a penalty that was not given . A replay was scheduled, which the Munich team did not play. Then Rheinau was declared the winner.

After the BSC failed prematurely at TuS Nürnberg-West and TSV St. Leonhard-Schweinau in 1925 and 1926 , the Munich team reached the South German final again when they last played in 1927 . Here the team was defeated by TuS Nürnberg-West with 1: 2. After the National Socialists came to power in 1933, the BSC Munich was banned. In 1945 the association was re-established, which three years later merged with SpVgg Sendling to form BSC Sendling .
