The company sports association of the German weapons and ammunition factories in Poznan was a sports club from Poznan .
history
BSG DWM Poznan was founded in 1940. From 1941, the club took part in the newly founded Gauliga Wartheland and was second behind DSC Posen in Group 1. In the following year, with only one defeat during the entire season, the league, which has now been combined into a relay, won the championship. This qualified the club for the final round of the German championship in 1942/43 , but failed there in the preliminary round to SG Ordnungspolizei Warsaw . After being renamed SDW Posen , the title was defended again with just one defeat in the following season. Once again, the team was eliminated in their first game in the championship finals , when the representative of the Lower Silesian sports class STC Hirschberg was able to outclass the Poznan 7-0. In addition to the championship finals, the team was also able to book a participation in the cup. Even in the Tschammerpokal 1943 , however, could not win, against VfB Königsberg they lost 4-0. In 1945 the association was dissolved.
