As of 1934 , the Berliner Verkehrs-Gesellschaft (BVG) designated a series of four sidecars as type B 13/27 , which were built in 1914 as summer cars for the tram of the Heiligensee an der Havel community . None of the vehicles have survived.

development

Since the tram, which opened in 1913, had to cope with the heavy excursion traffic in summer, the community of Heiligensee on the Havel procured four large two-axle summer cars from Gottfried Lindner AG in Ammendorf the following year . Compared to conventional summer cars, the cars had entry platforms at the ends of the cars , central aisles to the transverse benches and closed side walls. The sides had four window openings in which curtains were hung against bad weather. The roof was designed as a barrel roof .

In 1920 the Berlin tram classified the cars under the numbers 1584 to 1587. In 1927 the platforms were closed and window panes were inserted. After the work has been completed, the cars have the new numbers 1486 II to 1489 II . From 1934 they were given the designation B 13/27 according to the BVG type code .

When the administration of the BVG was separated in August 1949, the three sidecars 1487 II to 1489 II remained in the eastern half of Berlin . While car 1487 II was taken out of service after 1950, BVG-Ost gave the remaining two sidecars to the Potsdam tram in 1964 , which they gave the numbers 168 and 169. In 1968 they were retired there. No information is available about the whereabouts of car 1486 II .
