Lake Baao is an inland lake in Camarines Sur Province in the Bicol region of the Philippines . The lake is located west of the Iriga volcano , the municipality of the same name Baao is located approx. 4.8 km east of the lake.
The lake covers an area of 1.77 km² and is part of the water catchment area of the Bicol River . Important commercially used fish species are the snakehead fish Channa striata , the cichlids Oreochromis mossambicus and Oreochromis niloticus and predatory catfish ( Clarias sp. ).
