The wall around the former churchyard

Baarsdorp is a village that today belongs to the municipality of Borsele in the Dutch province of Zeeland . It is located southwest of Goes, immediately south of Rijksweg 58 .

Baarsdorp goes back to a former moth fort , of which two Vliedberge have survived . The fort itself was demolished in the 18th century. Since the 15th century, Baarsdorp was an independent parish as a parish of St. Peter's Church in 's-Heer Arendskerke. The Gothic church dedicated to Saint Mary was abandoned in 1880. The churchyard wall was preserved and was last restored in 2003.

Together with Sinoutskerke , Baarsdorp formed an independent municipality until 1816, which then became part of 's-Heer Abtskerke .
