Babatunde Luqmon Adekunle (called Luqmon ) (born October 10, 1984 in Lagos ) is a Nigerian soccer player who played for FC Luzern until 2013 .
Career
Luqmon played as a 20-year-old in the Serbian SuperLiga at FK Borac Čačak and moved to FK Vlazrimi a year later . From June 2008 to December 2008 he was under contract with Rabotnički Skopje . After a double win in the 2007/08 season, Luqmon took part in the 2008/09 season with his team in the UEFA Champions League qualification . However, they failed in the first qualifying round against Azerbaijani representatives Inter Baku due to the away goals rule (0-0, 1-1). FC Luzern secured its services for the winter transfer period in 2008/09. He received a contract there until the summer of 2013. Luqmon reached the Swiss Cup final with FCL in the 2011/12 season , which however was lost on penalties against the favored FC Basel . On September 19, 2011 Adekunle moved to SC Kriens on loan for a year . At the beginning of the 2012/13 season he returned to FC Luzern, where the contract expired in June 2013.
In June 2014 he moved to the fourth division club FC Zug 94 . In both seasons, Zug 94 was at the end of the season more in the lower midfield of the table. He played a total of 40 league games in which he scored two goals. He spent the 2016/17 season at FC Sursee , a direct league competitor of his old club. Luqmon was only used seven times at Sursee, with one goal. On the third match day he saw the red card in the 84th minute of the game against SC Buochs, after which the game was lost 2-1. He left the club in January 2017, and Sursee was just able to save himself from relegation at the end of the matchday. In October 2018, the five-league team FC Eagles Aarau signed him . Luqmon stayed there until March 2020, before the club canceled its first team from play. Since then he has been the assistant coach of the second team at FC Rotkreuz.
