Baccio del Bianco
Luigi Baccio del Bianco , also known as Bartolomeo del Blanco in Spain, (born October 31, 1604 in Florence , † July 1657 in Madrid ) was an Italian painter, draftsman, engineer, stage designer and Baroque architect .
Life
From 1612 to 1620 he was a pupil of Giovanni Bilivert and a pupil of Giulio Parigi . In 1622 he went to Vienna as an assistant to Giovanni Pieroni da Galliano (1586 to 1654) and then to Prague , where he painted frescoes in the Wallenstein Palace, among other places . He did not stay long and returned to Florence via Milan in 1625 . In 1651 he went to Spain, originally as a theater decorator. There he was known as Bartolomeo del Blanco and died in 1657.
He is not identical to the architect Bartolomeo Bianco (1590–1657) from Como , architect of various townhouses in Genoa .
