Bachlalm
The Bachlalm is an alpine pasture at an altitude of 1490 m above sea level. A. in the Dachstein area in Austria .
The Alm originally belonged to the Bachlhof in Ramsau-Hachau and until the 1930s was a pure alpine farm with cattle and pigs as well as horses and goats. Different types of cheese were produced here.
In 1947 a new combined residential and farm building was built, from which today's Alpengasthof Bachlalm developed, which can be reached via a toll road and is the starting point for various hikes in the Dachstein area, for example to the Dachsteinsüdwandhütte , Hofpürglhütte and Adamekhütte .
In the 1970s, the Bachlalm was very popular for school ski courses.
In the 1970s, the innkeeper settled several marmots , which spread around the alpine pasture and became trusting to the guests.
From the Bachlalm there is a panoramic view of the Torstein and the south walls of the Dachstein .
