The building at Bachstrasse 1 in Bachstrasse in Bad Kissingen , the major district town of the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen , is one of the Bad Kissingen architectural monuments and is registered in the Bavarian list of monuments under number D-6-72-114-252 .

history

The two-storey hipped roof building with half-timbered upper storey was built in its current form in 1928; the older core dates from the 17th century.

In the 15th century, the location of the property and the property behind it, on which there is now a parking lot, belonged to a castle estate belonging to the Lords of Erthal , which stretched from Bachstraße to the northeast corner of the city fortifications on today's Maxstraße. The Wahler brewery was later established there, the majority of which were demolished in 1965. The present-day Bräu-Stüble property has been preserved and houses the “Zoom Eulenspiegel” pub. For a long time, a chestnut tree in the parking lot behind the property reminded of the beer garden of the Wahler brewery.
