Bachzimmer is a district of the municipality Immendingen in the western district of Tuttlingen in Baden-Württemberg .

Geographical location
Bachzimmer is located in the Ostbaar, surrounded by wooded hills in the narrow Weisenbach valley.
history
Bachzimmer was first mentioned in a document in the 12th century.
In 1523 the Ippingen- Bachzimmer smelter of the Fürstenberg ironworks in Hammereisenbach was founded, which was shut down again in the 18th century. In 1812 a new smelter was built, called the Amalienhütte since 1833 , with which Bachzimmer experienced its heyday. In the 1830s the hut was run by Ferdinand von Steinbeis . Therefore, his son Otto von Steinbeis was born in Bachzimmer. In 1878 it was finally shut down for good.
Bachzimmer was already a political part of Immendingen when the community was reformed. The place currently has around 50 residents.
The forest base Tuttlingen / Bachzimmer, with forestry training in Bachzimmer, is operated by the public-law institution Forst Baden-Württemberg (ForstBW) .

Buildings
The sights of Bachzimmer are the late Gothic Verena Chapel from 1591 and the former Fürstenberg hunting lodge from the 18th century.
