Baddie Winkle (* 18th July 1928 as Helen Ruth Elam in Hazard , Kentucky ) is an American Internet personality and model. She is internationally famous for her extravagant appearance and her old age.
Life
Winkle was born Helen Ruth Elam in Hazard, the daughter of a miner. She has been widowed since 1983 and has 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. When she was 85 years old, her great granddaughter Kennedy Lewis posted a photo of her on Twitter . So many users liked the post that Winkle set up his own account on Instagram and already had a million followers in 2015. She was chosen to be the face for the Grit Creative Group's website launch campaign, in which she dressed as Kurt Cobain and Kate Moss , among others . She helped Nicole Richie start the second season of Candidly Nicole on VH1 . She appeared on the red carpet in the Netflix promotion for Orange Is the New Black . She was invited to the MTV Video Music Awards by former Disney star Miley Cyrus . In 2016 she was part of the “Keep It Moving” campaign in a national commercial for Smirnoff ICE Electric Flavors. She is characterized by eccentric clothing and advocates legalizing marijuana for medicinal purposes.
