Baek Ji-hoon (born February 28, 1985 in Dingon ) is a former South Korean soccer player .

Baek started playing soccer at the age of nine, and when he was ten he went to a special school in Jinju . During his time at high school in Andong , he made his first national appearances in the U19 selection.

After leaving school, the midfielder immediately played for the Korean first division club Chunnam Dragons , made three appearances and played regularly for the reserve. In the next year he was able to consolidate his position and nationally he was also able to assert himself: In the U20 and then the U21 he was not only a regular player, but was appointed team captain.

In 2005 he moved to the league for FC Seoul , where he was used in over half of the league games, and came on August 7th for his first appearance in the senior team of South Korea . Baek Ji-hoon and his club mate Park Chu-young were also the two youngest players in South Korea's squad for the 2006 World Cup in Germany.

After the World Cup, Baek moved to Suwon Samsung Bluewings . There he was used in half of the games in the following years. In the 2008 season he won the South Korean championship with his team. In 2012 and 2013 he was drafted into the military and played for the local club Sangju Sangmu Phoenix , with whom he was relegated from the K League at the end of the 2012 season and managed to get promoted again immediately. After a season at Ulsan Hyundai , he returned to Bluewings in early 2015. In early 2017 he joined Seoul E-Land FC in K League 2 before joining Lee Man FC in Hong Kong in 2008 . He ended his career there in 2019.
