Bagotoji (from Russian богат , German " rich ") is a village in the municipality of Kazlų Rūda , Lithuania , 9 km northeast of Pilviškiai , 9 km southwest of Višakio Rūda and 9 km west of the city of Kazlų Rūda .
history
Bagotoji was mentioned for the first time in 1737 in a book from the Pilviškiai district . In 1861 a railway line was built through the village. In 1911 the Catholic parish was established in 1912 and Anthony of Padua Church built in 1929 and the forester set Bagotoji. In 1934 the Bagotoji train station was expanded . In 1961 the Bagotoji Middle School was established. It later became a secondary school. In 2007 a village flag was consecrated and a village anthem was written.
