Roman Sub

Roman Ivanovich Sub ( Ukrainian Роман Іванович Зуб ; born February 16, 1967 in Lviv ) is a former Ukrainian football player .

The midfielder began his career in Dynamo Kiev's second team . In 1987 he moved to Zorya Voroshilovgrad and in 1989 to Karpaty Lviv . From 1990 to 1992 he was under contract with Volyn Lutsk . At the beginning of 1993 he moved to Legia Warsaw in Poland . After ten games he was tested positive for testosterone and banned for a year, making him the first official doping case in the Ekstraklasa . He returned to Ukraine and was again active with Karpaty Lviv until 1997 after his suspension. In 1998 he played first with Ivano-Frankivsk and then with Nywa Vinnytsia , and then again until 2001 with Karpaty Lviv. After stints at Oleksandrija and Zolochiv, he ended his career at the end of 2002.
