The station Heimerdingen is a station on the Strohgäubahn that the community Weissach with Korntal connects. It is located on the southern outskirts of the Heimerdingen district of the city of Ditzingen at km 16.3 of the route and, following the rehabilitation of the route by the Strohgäubahn association and the resumption of operations from 2018, forms the new end point for regular passenger traffic.

Reception building

The reception building at Feuerbacher Strasse 36, built in 1905/06 and completely renovated in 1983, is designated as a cultural monument in accordance with Section 2 DSchG BW . The two-storey building consists of a stone-facing ground floor made of humpback cuboids with corner cuboids and segment-arched windows with sandstone walls as well as a more simply designed plastered half-timbered upper storey under a crooked hip roof . The facade is additionally structured on the south side (platform side) by a risalit-like porch with a crooked hip. A former goods shed has been built to the west.
