The Yerevan Station ( Armenian Երեւան երկաթուղային կայարան Yerevan jerkatughajin Kajaran ) is the main station of the Armenian capital Yerevan . It is operated by the most important railway company in Armenia, the South Caucasian Railway , a subsidiary of the Russian Railways .

The train station is a terminus and is located approx. 2.8 km south of the city center. Directly to the west of the station is the Sassunzi Dawit ( David von Sasun ) station of the Yerevan Metro , which is connected to the station by an underground pedestrian passage.

Yerevan Railway Station is the most important railway station in Armenia and is the starting point of the Yerevan – Tbilisi and Yerevan – Jolfa railway lines .
Inland connections are offered to the second largest Armenian city Gyumri and Jerasch .
There are also connections to neighboring Georgia. A pair of express trains runs daily to the Georgian capital Tbilisi and in summer to the Georgian seaside resort of Batumi on the Black Sea coast .
