The Święta Katarzyna – Wrocław Kuźniki railway is an electrified railway line in the Polish Lower Silesian Voivodeship that bypasses the Wrocław Główny station to the west.

Course and condition

The line begins at the Święta Katarzyna (Kattern) station on the Bytom – Wrocław railway line and runs parallel to it to the Wrocław Brochów freight yard , then westwards and northwards again to the Wrocław Stadion junction, northwest across the Wrocław Gądów station (Breslau-Mochbern) ) to Wrocław Kuźniki station on the Wrocław – Szczecin railway line . Feeders of their existence to and from the railway line Wroclaw-Międzylesie , railway Wroclaw-jedlina-zdrój , railway Wroclaw-Guben ( Berlin-Wrocław railway ), railway Wroclaw-Poznan and railway Kalety-Wroclaw .

Line 349 (Święta Katarzyna – Wrocław Kuźniki) is double-tracked and can be traveled at twenty to sixty kilometers per hour; the line 750 (Wrocław Brochów – Wrocław Stadion) is mostly single-track and can be traveled at thirty to forty kilometers per hour. There are thus three tracks between Wrocław Brochów and Wrocław Stadion.

history

The line was opened from 1874 to 1896, and in 1940 the second pair of tracks was opened between Brockau and today's Wrocław Stadium branch.

Only goods traffic is operated.
