The Carmagnola – Bra line is a standard-gauge , single-track and electrified branch line in Italy .

history

The construction of a railway line from Carmagnola to Bra was approved in 1879 by Law No. 5002 (so-called Legge Baccarini ). The line was opened on April 7, 1884.

In 1935 the line was electrified with the 3600 V three-phase alternating current system, and in 1973 it was converted to 3 kV direct current .

With the change in the timetable on December 9, 2012, the route is part of the FM4 line of the Turin urban railway .
