Takuma Abe ( Japanese 阿 部 拓 馬 , Abe Takuma ; born December 5, 1987 in Kodaira , Tokyo Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player . For VfR Aalen , he made a total of 14 appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga between 2013 and 2014 .

Career

In his youth, Takuma Abe played for Kodaira FC Eleven until 2000. He then played for FC Vida before joining Yokogawa Musashino FC in 2003. From 2006 to 2010 Abe was active for the football team at Hōsei University .

In 2010 Abe received his first professional contract with Tokyo Verdy , playing in the J. League Division 2 , the second Japanese football league. There he made his debut in the 1-0 defeat of his team against Ehime FC on April 10, 2010. In his first professional season he came to 20 appearances - but only four from the start - and scored three goals. In the following season 2011 he achieved his breakthrough; Abe was able to establish himself as a regular player and scored 16 goals in 33 league games, he also got three assists. Abe, who mostly played as a "hanging top" or as a center forward, was able to improve this balance in the following season in 2012: In 40 league appearances, he not only scored 18 goals himself, but also gave his teammates 14 assists.

After the end of the season in Japan, with which his contract with Verdy expired, Abe completed a trial training with the German second division club 1. FC Union Berlin in December 2012 . However, the association refused to commit because of language difficulties and problems with integration. Subsequently, Abe took part in the training camp of the league competitor VfR Aalen in January 2013 , which signed him after the trial training ended. Players Cidimar decreed there over Japanese skills. He signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Swabians until summer 2015.

Takuma Abe made his debut in the second German Bundesliga on February 16, 2013 when Aalen lost 1-0 to Hertha BSC . He scored his first goal a month later in the game against SV Sandhausen , when he secured a point for his team with his 2-2 equalization in the 90th minute of the game. In the further course of the second half of the season Abe came on a total of nine missions, in which he scored two goals and one assist. In the 4-5-1 system practiced by coach Ralph Hasenhüttl , he played in the central offensive midfield. In the following season 2013/14 he could no longer build on what was previously shown; Hasenhüttl's successor, Stefan Ruthenbeck , usually played in a 4-3-3 system, and Abe usually only performed poorly in training. Although Abe was allowed to play from the start in the 2-0 defeat in the second round of the DFB Cup against first division club VfL Wolfsburg , he only made five short appearances in the league during the entire season after being substituted on.

After a year and a half, Abe left Germany again in the summer of 2014 and returned to Japan. There, the first division club Ventforet Kofu took him under contract.

At the beginning of 2016 Abe switched to the first division and Champions League participant FC Tokyo . In the summer of 2017 he left the club and played for Ulsan Hyundai in South Korea for six months , where he celebrated the national cup victory.

In January 2018, the first division club Vegalta Sendai from Sendai signed him. Here he signed a two-year contract. By the end of 2019, he had completed 31 top division games for Sendai. In 2020 he moved to the second division club FC Ryūkyū
