Cidimar Rodrigues da Silva (born July 1, 1984 in São Paulo ), better known by his player name Cidimar , is a Brazilian soccer player who also has German nationality. He is right-footed and is preferred as a center forward.

Career

Cidimar comes from the Brazilian top club Internacional de Porto Alegre and has seen eventful years. The young striker moved between three clubs from 2004 to 2006 before returning to Internacional .

In January 2007, Cidimar played for the German second division team SpVgg Greuther Fürth and went to the training camp on the Costa de la Luz . Due to his existing potential, the Kleeblätter decided to sign him by the end of the season with a club-side option to extend it for two more years. After Cidimar made his second division debut on February 11 (21st matchday) in a 2-1 home win over FC Erzgebirge Aue , he scored the first goal on March 18 (26th matchday) in a 3-0 home win against Eintracht Braunschweig for his new club. In the course of the second half of the 2006/07 season , Cidimar was used a total of twelve times and scored five goals, with the exception of his goal against Karlsruher SC on the last day of the match, being successful only as a substitute. At the end of the season, the club pulled the option and Cidimar signed a two-year contract until June 30, 2009.

In the 2007/08 season he was not the first choice for the new coach Bruno Labbadia at the beginning, but after overcoming an intermittent injury, he reported on the last match day of the first half of the season in the 4-1 home win over TSG 1899 Hoffenheim impressively with two Hits back. In total, Cidimar was used 21 times in his second season in Germany and was able to mark four hits. Nevertheless, he usually did not get beyond the role of reservist. This did not change in the 2008/09 season under coach Benno Möhlmann , who returned to Fürth , when Cidimar was only used 13 times during the entire season and was only able to score three goals. As a result, his contract, which expired at the end of the season, was not extended.

In early September 2009, the contractless Cidimar moved to league competitor FSV Frankfurt , where he signed a one-year contract with an option for another season. With ten goals in the 2009/10 season , he played a major role in the non-relegation of the FSV. Under coach Hans-Jürgen Boysen , who replaced Tomas Oral in October 2009 , the FSV usually only plays with one attacking tip. Cidimar first had to alternate in this position with Matías Cenci , in the second half of the season with the newly signed Essen Sascha Mölders . In the 2010/11 season , after a few missions, he was only the “wild card” of the Bornheimers from the start, after Mölders scored regularly in this round and was set as a striker from the second half of the preliminary round. Cidmar's expiring contract with FSV Frankfurt was not extended at the end of the season. Then Cidimar moved to league competitor Dynamo Dresden for the following season , where he signed a two-year contract on August 8, 2011, but only made three appearances with the promoted team until the winter break.

Therefore, he left the club after six months and moved to third division VfR Aalen , who signed him for a year and a half until June 30, 2013. He made his debut for the club on the 22nd matchday of the 3rd league, the first after the winter break, in the 3-1 home win against Arminia Bielefeld , when he was put into the starting line-up by coach Ralph Hasenhüttl and with the interim equalization scored his first third division straight away at 1: 1. In the course of the second half of the season, at the end of which he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga with the team, he played in a total of 17 of the 18 second half games and scored three goals.

His contract with VfR Aalen, which expired in June 2014, was not extended. After Cidimar was initially without a club, the third division team SG Sonnenhof Großaspach signed him up to the end of the 2014/15 season after a trial training session. After only three months, SG terminated the employment relationship with Cidimar in January 2015 by means of a contract option.

Cidimar then joined the Swiss second division club FC Biel-Bienne , where he signed a contract for two and a half years. In the following second half of the current season he scored four goals in 14 missions , including a long-range goal from the center line on matchday 20 in a 4-1 win against FC Winterthur . After a change in the sporting leadership, combined with a realignment of the club, his contract was terminated in October 2015. Due to an injury during the pre-season preparation in the summer and later due to a serious illness of his wife, Cidimar had not played a league game in the new season. The reason given by the association was that Cidimar did not comply with the new association concept due to its age of 31 years.

Due to the illness of his wife, Cidimar then paused his work as a football player until summer 2016. Since then he has been without a club.
