The Bahuda is a river in eastern India in the states of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh .

The Bahuda rises in the Singharaj Hills , a ridge of the Eastern Ghats , in the Gajapati district . It initially flows 15 km in a north-northeast direction before it is dammed by the Baghalati Dam . It flows a little further along the eastern flank of the Eastern Ghats in a northeasterly direction. After a total of 40 km, the Bahuda turns south. It flows through the coastal plain. Its lower reaches are in Andhra Pradesh. The city of Ichchapuram is on its left bank. The Bahuda flows through the Bahuda Muhana Sagar lagoon , which runs on the border with Odisha, and finally flows into the Bay of Bengal .

The Bahuda is 96 km long. Its catchment area covers 1118 km², of which 890 km² are in Odisha and 228 km² in Andhra Pradesh.
