Bai Baoshan

Bai Baoshan († May 6, 1998 ) was a Chinese serial killer who killed a total of 15 people.

Life

Bai Baoshan committed a robbery in the early 1980s, killing the first time. For this act, he was serving a 13-year prison term . In March 1996, he raided a police station in Beijing . He killed a police officer with a previously stolen semi-automatic firearm and seriously injured four others and two civilians. The police then suspected him of having committed robbery and murder of a cigarette dealer. He raided another police station in Hebei Province , killing another policeman and taking his automatic rifle. In Urumqi , he and two accomplices killed a total of ten other people, including other police officers, and looted 1.5 million yuan . When there was a dispute over the booty, he shot one of his accomplices.

On October 16, 1997, Bai was arrested in Beijing. Since he had committed most of his crimes in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region , he was transferred there and charged with fourteen murders , among other charges. After being found guilty on all counts and to death was sentenced, he was publicly by on 6 May 1998 shot in the neck executed .
