Bai chongxi ( Chinese  白崇禧 , Pinyin Bái Chóngxǐ , W.-G. Pai Ch'ung-hsi , style name 健生 , Jiansheng ; * 18th March 1893 in county Lingui , Guangxi , † 1. December 1966 in Taipei ) was a Chinese Military and politicians.

Bai Chongxi was Hui Chinese and therefore a Muslim. His relationship with Chiang Kai-shek was changeable. During the northern expedition from 1926 to 1928 he led the Guangxi-Amee together with Li Zongren and was very successful against the northern warlords . In the early 1930s he belonged to the Anti-Chiang Coalition, but later supported it in the Sino-Japanese War and the Chinese Civil War against the Communists. From 1927 to 1949 he was Chief of the General Staff. From 1946 to 1947 he was Minister of Defense. In the following years he fell out with Chiang again.
