Alpaslan Öztürk (born July 16, 1993 in Antwerp ) is a Belgian - Turkish soccer player .

Career

society

Öztürk was born to parents of Turkish origin in Antwerp, Belgium . Here he began with club football in the youth departments of various teams, u. a. at Berchem Sport and Germinal Beerschot . In 2009 he moved to the English Premier League club Birmingham City with a professional contract and was used there in the second team. A season later he switched to the professional team. Without having played a competitive game there, he switched back to Germinal Beerschot at the end of the season, who had meanwhile been renamed Beerschot AC . He became a regular there immediately.

In June 2013 Öztürk switched to Standard Liège and signed a five-year contract. For the second half of the 2013/14 season he was transferred to Kasımpaşa Istanbul on loan to the Turkish Süper Lig .

For the 2015/16 season he was signed as a loan player with the Turkish first division club Eskişehirspor with a subsequent purchase option. For the second half of the 2016/17 season he was committed by the Turkish second division side Elazığspor . In the summer of 2018, he switched to the first division club Göztepe Izmir .

National team

Öztürk's national team career began in 2010 in the Turkish U-18 national team. After just two games for the Turkish U-18s, he decided to play for the Belgian national team in the future. He played several times for the Belgian U18 and Belgian U19 national teams between 2010 and 2012. From 2012 he also started playing for the Belgian U-21 national team.

In December 2012 it became known that Alpaslan Öztürk had decided on the Turkish national team. When he had talks a year ago with those in charge of the Turkish Football Association , he was impressed by the effort that they had to change his mind and that he would play for the Turkish national team again. Öztürk let himself be changed and declared that he wanted to play for Turkey again in the future because he would be more likely to play. Subsequently, Alpaslan Öztürk was appointed to Turkey's U-21 team for the first time in February 2013, but he was not used. Later in March 2013 in the course of two test matches in the squad of the Turkish U-20 national team nominated and played both games.

As part of the U-20 World Cup in 2013 , he was appointed to the tournament squad of the Turkish U-20 national team.
