Halil Akbunar (born January 3, 1992 in Izmir ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

society

Akbunar started club football in the youth of the amateur club Balçova İdman Yurdu and moved to the youth of Antalyaspor in 2010 . After only a year he left this club and switched to the youth of the traditional club in his hometown, to Göztepe Izmir . Here he received a professional contract in spring 2012 at the directorship of the head coach. He made his professional debut on January 14, 2012 at the second division match against Kartalspor . By the end of the season he had played eleven league games and scored twice.

For the 2015/16 season, his club loaned him to the second division side Elazığspor .

National team

Akbunar fell on the national coaches of the Turkish U-19 after his promotion to the professional team Göztepes and was nominated for the national team for the first time on February 28, 2012. He has completed two matches for the U-19 so far. In the same year he began to play for the Turkish U-20 national team.

As part of the U-20 World Cup in 2013 , he was appointed to the tournament squad of the Turkish U-20 national team.
