Mehmet Göktuğ Bakırbaş (born June 1, 1996 in Izmir ) is a Turkish football goalkeeper who plays for Göztepe Izmir .

Career

Bakırbaş was born in Konak , a district of Izmir, and started playing club football in the youth of Göztepe Izmir . Here he received a professional contract this time and became part of the professional team. He made his professional debut on April 30, 2016 in the second division match against Gaziantep Büyüksehir Belediyespor . With Göztepe, he ended the season as a play-off winner and thus made it to the Süper Lig .

In summer 2017 he was loaned to the second division Manisaspor for one season . On March 3, 2018 in the second division game against Denizlispor , Bakırbaş scored the 2-2 equalizer in the 3rd minute of stoppage as a goalkeeper.

National team

Bakırbaş stood out after the national coaches of the Turkish U-15 national team and was nominated for the national team for the first time in December 2010. He completed two matches for the U-15. This is followed by missions for the U-16 , U-17 and U-19 teams in his country.
