Bain National (Plombières-les-Bains)
The Bain National in Plombières-les-Bains , a spa in the French department of Vosges in the Lorraine region , is a 19th century bathhouse . The building in Rue Liétard since 2001 as a monument ( monument historique protected).
history
The bathhouse was built from 1812 on the site of the former Capuchin monastery , which disappeared in 1791 during the French Revolution in the course of secularization . The building contractor and architect Nicolas Grillot received the order for this building, which was supplemented by structural extensions and a terraced garden in the course of the 19th century. From 1932 to 1935, under the direction of the architect Robert Danis, the interior of the building was fundamentally reconstructed while maintaining the facade, adapting it to the modern requirements of the time. The last renovation took place in 1998/99.

The classical facade, the roof structure and the mosaics of the walls and the floor of the pump room are protected as historical monuments .
