Baker Bloodworth

Baker Bloodworth (born June 30, 1962 in Seattle , Washington ) is an American film producer .

Life

Bloodworth grew up in Orinda, California , and studied drama at the University of California, Los Angeles until 1984 . This was followed by positions at the Los Angeles Theater Center and at the Orange County Performing Arts Center, which he co-founded. Bloodworth also worked as a production assistant on Broadway in New York City .

Bloodworth came to film around 1990 and was initially a production manager on Disney's Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin . At Pocahontas , he was the production manager and co-produced Disney's Dinosaurs . As a producer, he finally realized the long unfinished short film projects Destino and Lorenzo . In 2005 he won an Oscar for Lorenzo in the Best Animated Short Film category.

Bloodworth's last film so far was the 2011 animated film Gnomeo and Juliet . Bloodworth lives in Italy and runs an inn with his partner in San Gimignano .
