The Bakkaflói is a bay in the north of Iceland .
The bay is east of the Langanes peninsula and west of Cape Digranes. The Norðausturvegur , the road 85, runs along the south bank. The Bakkaflói divides into the three small fjords Finnafjörður , Miðfjörður and Bakkafjörður in the east with the town of the same name .
