Balázs Vindics (born March 28, 1994 ) is a Hungarian athlete who focuses on middle-distance running .

Athletic career

Balázs Vindics gained his first international experience in 2015 when he was eliminated in the first round of the U23 European Championships in Tallinn in the 800-meter run with 1: 50.13 minutes. In 2017 he took part in the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade , but also failed there with 1: 49.18 minutes in advance, as well as two years later at the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow with 1: 49.98 minutes. In 2020 he set a new indoor record over 800 meters in Budapest with 1: 46.20 minutes.

In 2019 and 2020 Vindics became Hungarian champion in the 800 meters and in 2019 also in the 1,500 meter run . He also won the 4-by-800-meter relay in 2016 and the 4-by-400-meter relay in 2017. In the hall he was champion over 800 meters from 2016 to 2020 and also over 1500 meters in 2016 and 2019.
