Viticulture is characterized by a large number of small and very small wineries, to which a few larger wineries have only been added in the last 10 to 15 years. The vast majority of wine is marketed by the countless small and very small producers themselves.

Mainly white wine is grown: In Csopak mainly lighter wines from the grape varieties Welschriesling (here called Olaszrizling ), which results in the relatively well-known and in Hungary popular Csopaki Rizling , as well as plenty of Szürkebarát (Graumönch / Pinot Gris) and Silvaner , also Muscat Ottonel (here Ottonel-Muskotály ), Lindenblättriger , Pinot Blanc , occasionally Sauvignon Blanc , Traminer , Grüner Veltliner , Zweigelt and Chardonnay . The wines from Balatonfüred are usually a little richer in alcohol and therefore fuller in taste.

The wines are predominantly single-varietal (i.e. only from one grape variety).
