Baliqchi ( Russian Балыкчи Balyktschi ) is a city in the Uzbek province of Andijon in the Fergana Valley and the capital of the district of the same name .

The city is located about 40 km northwest of the provincial capital Andijon on the border with the neighboring province Namangan and about 20 km southeast of the provincial capital Namangan . North of the city flows the Kara Darya , the east of the city with the Naryn (river) to Syrdarya combined.

According to the 1989 population census, the city had 3699 inhabitants.
