Baltic America Line
The Baltic America Line was a shipping company registered in Denmark from 1917 to 1930 .

The liner service of the Baltic America Line was founded after the First World War by the Danish trading company Det Østasiatiske Kompagni ( East Asiatic Company ) to take over the ships Russia , Kursk , Czar and Czaritza of the Russian American Line , which ceased service after the October Revolution in 1917 would have. The four steamers sailed under the Danish flag and offered space for passengers of the first class, cabin class, tourist class and third class.
The ships were used on the route Libau - Danzig - Copenhagen - New York , with occasional calls to Hamburg, Glasgow, Falmouth, Portland (Dorset), Newcastle, Boston, Halifax and Quebec. In 1921 the four steamers were renamed. Baltic America Line's advertising brochures praised the high standard of accommodation and catering.
The Latvia (ex Russia ) was sold to Japan in 1924 , the other three ships were added to the newly founded Gdynia America Line in 1930 . The liner service of the Baltic American Line ceases to exist.
