The Baluchi language , (بلوچی) also Baluchi , or Anglicized Beluchi , Baluchi , Balochi , is a language in the Indo-Iranian branch of the subgroup of the Iranian languages .

It belongs to the northwest group of the Iranian language family and, according to language genetic criteria, can be traced back to roots similar to Kurdish .

Baluchi is spoken by about six million people. In addition to Baluch , population groups in their vicinity also speak Baluch, but mostly only as a second language.

Baluch was written relatively late, in the 20th century, with modified Arabic writing systems being developed, and writing systems based on Latin or Cyrillic scripts occasionally being used .
